These are my favorite fall crochet patterns to create in the fall, that I have written. I have been crocheting since high school but started writing my own patterns in 2020. Of the patterns I have written I have some that are my favorite for fall. These projects range from dish cloths to blankets to pillows. I love being able to complete a quick project on a nice fall weekend, sitting outside on the patio. Or, creating a nice chunky throw to keep you cozy at night. Also, I love being able to create my own decor for my house.
Easy Pillow Pattern – Fall Crochet Patterns
This crochet pumpkin pillow pattern gives me all the fall vibes. Finally, September arrives and I get in total holiday mode. Therefore, it’s time for all fall decor to come out, pumpkin patches, apple cider doughnuts, and crisp air. The Pumpkin Patch crochet pumpkin pillow is the perfect fall decor. The bobble stitch gives this pillow the best texture and cozy feel.

Once we entered September I immediately busted out my fall decor. I love the cozy feel of fall decorations and I’m secretly hoping that our hot Florida weather starts cooling down! I grew up in Northwest Colorado in a small ski town, so I got to experience the cool fall air and colors changing in the Rocky Mountains. Well, here in Southwest Florida it does not cool down in the fall and everything stays green. So, getting all my decor out gets me in the fall spirit. As I pulled out the 20 plus pumpkin decorations I have I immediately knew I needed to make a crochet pumpkin pillow
Easy Weekend Dishcloth Pattern – Fall Crochet Patterns
The Ryan crochet dishcloth free pattern is my first beginner friendly pattern design. I wanted to create something that was easy for a first time crocheter and also an enjoyable project for the veteran maker. I have always felt so wasteful using so many paper towels to clean the kitchen counters, kitchen table, and spills around the house.

Come March 2020 and hello COVID-19. Let’s all remember the shortage of paper goods. That is when I started this simple design to create a reusable dishcloth that can be used over and over again. This is the perfect weekend fall crochet patterns to complete on a cool fall evening out on your patio.
Fall Blanket Pattern – Fall Crochet Patterns
I grew up in Northwest Colorado where the trees in the Rocky Mountains turned beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red in the fall. The temperature started to drop, meaning winter was around the corner. It was a short lived season of beauty and the best weather. Now, we live in South Florida so we don’t get the changing of the colors but the weather does start to cool down for us. By that I mean 70 degrees at night and high 80s during the day. We try to get away on a fall trip each year to Wisconsin or Michigan to experience fall.
I made this crochet blanket for curling up on the front porch of my mother in law’s house in upstate Michigan and for around a night sitting on the dock at my father’s cabin in Northern Wisconsin. This blanket is so cozy to snuggle up with while enjoying a night drinking apple cider. It also makes for the perfect home decor for the fall season.
